Ø92 mm LED Underwater Light, 12W (3 or 6 LEDs) – White or Blue

Code:
03889-1W

A compact rectangular underwater light (92 x 59 mm footprint) available with 3 or 6 LED chips (~5.4W or ~12W). Features a durable corrosion-proof polymer housing and flush mount design. The white LED version provides strong brightness (~460 lm for 3 LED, ~561 lm for 6 LED) , while the blue LED gives a stylish, subdued glow (~88 lm / ~159 lm). 120° wide beam coverage in the 6-LED model. Ideal for boat transoms, jet-ski sterns, etc. IP68-rated.

  • Dimensions: 96.2 x 59.2 x 22 mm (3-LED version); 160.7 x 59.2 x 22 mm (6-LED version) – same width, different length
  • Power: 3 x LED (~5.4W) or 6 x LED (~12W), supports 12V/24V input (10–30V DC)
  • Brightness: White ~460 lm (3 LED) / ~561 lm (6 LED); Blue ~88 lm / ~159 lm (3/6 LED) – softer, aesthetic glow

The Ø92 mm, 12W LED underwater light (code 03889) is a compact and efficient solution for illuminating the area around a boat’s stern. Its rectangular design (with rounded corners) measuring 96 x 59 mm allows installation even in tight spaces. Two configurations are offered – 3 LED chips (series -1) and 6 LED chips (series -2), with both versions sharing the same width and thickness, but the 6-LED unit is twice as long (160.7 mm). This modular approach provides flexibility – you can start with the smaller model and later upgrade to the larger one using the same mounting holes.

Housing & Build: The lamp’s body is made from durable engineering plastic designed to withstand the marine environment. All electronics are potted inside, giving it an IP68 rating – the light is completely waterproof and can remain submerged without issues. The front face is flat with a slight texture to help diffuse the light. At 22 mm thick, the unit sits low-profile on the hull and is relatively unobtrusive.

LED Configurations & Brightness: The 3-LED version draws about 5.4W at 12V and provides approximately 460 lumens of white light. The 6-LED version is 12W and outputs around 561 lumens (white) – enough to light up water about 2 meters behind the boat fairly brightly. The blue versions, respectively, output around 20% of the white’s luminous flux (~88 lm for 3-LED, ~159 lm for 6-LED), yet they still look impressive in the dark since the human eye perceives blue light well through water. The six-LED model naturally has a wider emission angle (~120°) because the LEDs are spread over a larger area, which allows it to cover a broader zone with minimal shadowing.

Installation & Electrical: Installation is straightforward with four screws (provided) on a flat section of the transom or hull. The power cable (approximately 1 m long) feeds through a small hole behind the fixture. The input voltage range is 10–30V DC, meaning it connects directly to either 12V or 24V boat systems with no additional converters needed. Since the power consumption is low, no relay is required – it can be operated with a standard switch. Built-in circuitry keeps the LED current regulated for steady performance even if the supply voltage varies.

Practical Advantages: This series is ideal for small to mid-sized vessels – fishing boats, runabouts, tow-boats for water sports, even jet skis (if an appropriate power source is available). The 3-LED model is well suited for boats around 5–7 meters, where even a single lamp provides a noticeable effect. The 6-LED model is recommended for boats 8–10+ meters or if owners desire a more intense light. A pair of these lights (for example, two 6-LED whites on either side of the transom) can significantly enhance visibility during night cruising or illuminate the swim area when the boat is at anchor. Alternatively, a mix of one white and one blue light gives you both functionality and ambiance – one serves as a bright task light, the other as décor.
