LED Underwater Light Ø96/160 mm, Stainless/Plastic, IP68 – Blue or White (Flood or Spot Beam)

Code:
03891-1BL

A versatile series of underwater LED lights featuring corrosion-proof plastic housings with optional stainless steel bezels. Two sizes are available – compact (Ø96 mm) with 3 LEDs and extended (160.7 mm length) with 6 LEDs, in either blue or white color. The stainless “SS” versions focus the beam into a narrow 15° spot, while the standard plastic models provide a wide 120° flood illumination.

  • Sizes: Small model 96.2 x 59.2 x 22 mm (3 LEDs); Large model 160.7 x 59.2 x 22 mm (6 LEDs)
  • Power: ~5.4 W (small, white) or 12 W (large, white) – 10–30V DC input supports both 12V and 24V systems
  • Brightness: White output ~710 lm (6 LED) / ~460 lm (3 LED); Blue output ~159 lm (6 LED) / ~88 lm (3 LED)
  • Construction: Marine-grade polymer body; “SS” variants add a polished 316 stainless steel bezel for a premium look
  • Beam Angle: 120° wide beam (flood) on standard versions; 15° narrow beam (spot) on INOX bezel models – ideal for long-range underwater lighting

The 03891 series underwater LED lights offer a “mix-and-match” solution with multiple sizes and beam styles to suit various boating needs. The core construction of each light is a high-strength engineering polymer that is highly resistant to corrosion and chemicals, ensuring reliable underwater performance. The lights come in two physical sizes: a compact version with 3 LEDs (overall length ~96 mm) – a smaller form factor ideal for limited mounting spaces or smaller vessels; and an extended version with 6 LEDs (overall length 160.7 mm) – a larger, more powerful unit suitable for bigger boats or situations where more light is desired. Both versions share the same width (59.2 mm) and thickness (22 mm), meaning the mounting footprint is identical and one can upgrade from the small to large unit (or vice versa) using the same screw positions.

Bezel Variants: Within this series, you have a choice of the standard all-plastic face (models 1BL, 1W, 2BL, 2W) or an upgraded stainless steel bezel (models 2BLSS, 2WSS). Functionally, the stainless bezel not only enhances the appearance but also alters the light pattern – it acts as a reflector that narrows the beam angle to roughly 15°. In practical terms, the “SS” versions produce a concentrated spotlight that can penetrate further into the water, whereas the plastic-faced versions provide a broad 120° flood beam that lights up a larger area around the transom. Your choice depends on your desired effect – the wide flood is fantastic for illuminating a broad swath of water for swim platforms and general ambience, while the narrow spot is useful for casting light deeper or highlighting specific features underwater.

Colors & Brightness: All models are available with either white or blue LEDs. White LEDs deliver significantly higher brightness – the large 6-LED model outputs about 710 lumens, while the small 3-LED model produces around 460 lumens. Blue LEDs, on the other hand, provide a more subdued glow – roughly 159 lumens for the 6-LED and ~88 lumens for the 3-LED version. This difference is expected due to the human eye’s sensitivity to blue light, but these levels are more than sufficient for creating a striking aesthetic effect. If maximum illumination for functional purposes (e.g. night diving, illumination for docking) is your goal, the white version is recommended. If you’re aiming for atmosphere and style, the blue version gives a unique and attractive accent without overwhelming glare.

Installation & Usage: These lights are surface-mounted and require no large thru-hull holes – only a small hole for the power cable and screws to hold the fixture in place. Each unit comes with a 1.5 m twin-core cable and is designed to connect directly to your 12V or 24V DC system (operating range 10–30V) with no external drivers needed. Thanks to the low power draw (~5.4 W for the small and ~12 W for the large white model), you can install multiple lights without straining your electrical system. For optimal effect on a medium-to-large boat, we suggest installing two of the large 6-LED units on the transom – one to port and one to starboard – to create a symmetric glow across the wake. The smaller 3-LED modules are also excellent for mounting along the sides of the hull or beneath swim steps where space is at a premium. All components are fully sealed and protected – the polymer housing will not corrode and keeps the electronics safe from water ingress, while the stainless steel bezel (on SS models) is polished to a mirror sheen and likewise impervious to saltwater. In summary, the 03891 series provides exceptional versatility – you can configure the perfect underwater lighting setup for your vessel by choosing the color, output, and beam type that best fits your needs.
