- Recommended Uses: Use Sea-Line Epoxy Lightprimer 5:1 as a base primer on fiberglass (GRP) hulls to prevent osmotic blistering and to reinforce gelcoat integrity below the waterline. It also serves as an ideal intercoat primer when repainting or repairing – for example, between an old epoxy substrate and a new polyurethane topcoat or antifouling layer – effectively increasing the adhesion between different coating systems. Additionally, Epoxy Lightprimer 5:1 is suitable for priming wooden boats and metal surfaces (steel or aluminum), providing corrosion resistance and a sealed, stable surface for further painting.
- Available Variants: Sea-Line Epoxy Lightprimer 5:1 comes in white or grey kits that include epoxy resin and hardener. Standard package sizes are 0.75 L and 3 L sets, allowing users to choose a smaller kit for minor spot repairs or a larger volume for complete hull priming. (For very large projects, industrial packs up to 15 L are noted in technical datasheets.) Each kit includes the components and even a mixing cup with a marked scale for easy and accurate dosing of the resin and hardener.
