Sea-Line 2:1 two-component polyurethane paint delivers professional-grade durability and aesthetics for your boat or yacht. This topcoat is specifically engineered for use above the waterline, providing both protective and decorative qualities. It forms a UV-resistant film that keeps colors vibrant under intense sun and a marine environment. Once cured, the coating can be polished to restore or enhance its mirror-like shine over time.
With high mechanical strength and scratch resistance, this paint is ideal for areas subject to heavy use and weather exposure. Its formula ensures smooth flow and excellent coverage (high opacity), allowing you to achieve an even, defect-free color finish. The kit includes resin (base) and hardener, and the can packaging is designed with enough space to conveniently mix the two components in the correct 2:1 ratio. It is recommended to prime the surface first with a Sea-Line epoxy primer to ensure optimal adhesion and protection before painting.
- 0.75 L can: Suitable for painting smaller boats, touch-ups, or individual sections. 0.75 L covers approximately 10–11 m² per coat, ideal for small hulls or partial repaints.
- 15 L pail: Cost-effective choice for full repainting of larger yachts or applying multiple coats. The large volume suits professional use or big projects, providing enough paint for an entire hull.
- Color options: Available in a range of popular yacht colors – white, light ivory (ecru), ruby red, navy blue, sky blue, mint green, grey, and black. Choose the color that matches your vessel’s design for the perfect aesthetic result.
- Application: Apply with brush, roller, or spray gun under appropriate conditions. If necessary, use the dedicated Sea-Line thinner for polyurethane paints (different versions for brush/roller or spray) to achieve the proper viscosity. Follow the recommended drying times between coats (~30 minutes at 20°C) and note the pot life of ~3 hours at 20°C.
- Recommendations: Paint in an ambient temperature of around 20°C and avoid high humidity during curing. For best results, apply 2–3 coats. After full cure (touch dry in 6–8 hours, fully cured in about 7 days), you may polish the surface for maximum gloss if desired.
