Sea-Line S1 One Step Cut & High Gloss – One-Step Premium Polish for Hard-to-Polish Surfaces

Code:
10068

Sea-Line S1 Premium (One Step Cut & High Gloss) is a single-step polishing compound that guarantees a very high gloss finish in a one-stage polishing process. Formulated for surfaces that are "difficult" to polish – polyurethane paints/clear coats, plexiglass, polycarbonate, as well as hard gelcoats – S1 Premium quickly removes sanding scratches (up to P800 on light colors, P1200 on dark colors) and leaves the surface with a mirror-like shine. Key characteristics:

  • One-Step Compound: Combines effective cutting ability (cut ~8/10) with finishing (gloss ~9/10) – eliminates sanding marks and restores gloss in one operation.
  • For Stubborn Surfaces: Designed to polish high-hardness or sensitive surfaces – e.g., automotive/industrial clear coats, transparent plastics – without causing overheating or marring.
  • Precise Dosing: Liquid-creme consistency allows precise application of the needed amount and easy distribution according to surface type – minimizes waste and aids detailed work.
  • Silicone-Free: Contains no silicone or wax, ensuring a pure polish with no hidden flaws and safe usage before painting or on sensitive coatings (no "fish-eye" issues).

Sea-Line S1 Premium One Step Cut & High Gloss is a top-tier product for those who want to achieve maximum shine with minimal steps in polishing. This compound, also referred to as "S1 Premium," is specially developed for surfaces that are typically harder to bring to a high gloss: polyurethane automotive-style clear coats, high-gloss topcoat paints, transparent plexiglass surfaces, as well as very hard gelcoats. S1 Premium contains advanced abrasives that combine aggressiveness with finesse – they rapidly smooth out the sanded texture of the surface, then break down into fine particles that polish to a shine. This means the compound can remove scratches from around P800–P1200 grit and directly achieve near showroom gloss without switching products.

One of the key characteristics of S1 Premium is its liquid-creamy form, which makes dosing and application easier. You can precisely dispense small amounts onto the polishing pad or surface, and the compound spreads easily, adapting to the material type – for example, you might apply less on plastic, a bit more on a hard clear coat, and it will not drip or excessively mess surrounding areas. The compound works great with both rotary and dual-action (orbital) polishers, and even by hand if needed, as it is easy to manipulate and doesn’t require heavy pressure.

S1 Premium is silicone-free, so it doesn’t hide defects and there’s no risk of issues if you need to repaint or apply coatings afterward (no fish-eye or adhesion problems). This, combined with its ability to not overheat the surface (due to its smooth polishing action), means S1 is safe for sensitive or thin coatings, where other harsher compounds might cause burn-through or micro-scratches.

  • Recommended Uses: Sea-Line S1 Premium is ideal when you want to polish in one step: for example, on new paint or gelcoat that has been sanded with fine paper and needs to be quickly brought to a high gloss for presentation or delivery. It’s also valuable for polishing transparent plastics (hatches, windshields) where you need to remove light scratches and restore clarity without haze – S1 Premium will bring back a crystal-clear look with no residue film. For hard polyurethane clear coats (like those on superstructures or even automotive finishes), which are often challenging, S1 Premium helps achieve a brilliant gloss while removing sanding marks from refinishing or orange peel flattening.
  • Usage Instructions: Apply S1 Premium using a rotary polisher or a dual-action (orbital) polisher equipped with a medium foam or lambswool pad – this provides a balance between cut and finish. Start at low RPM (~800–1000) and spread the compound over the area to be polished. Once the compound is distributed evenly and begins to polish, gradually increase the speed to ~1500–1800 RPM while maintaining moderate pressure. You’ll notice scratches disappearing and gloss developing – S1 Premium is designed to transition its action from cutting to polishing smoothly. For dark colors or extremely glossy finishes, finish with a reduction in speed (around 1200 RPM) and light pressure for the final passes to “jewel” the finish. Wipe off any residue with a clean microfiber cloth. The result will be an impressively shiny, slick surface. If desired, follow up with a protective wax (such as S4 or S5) to lock in the shine for longer.
