This bimini top slider is a movable fitting that runs inside an aluminum track mounted on your boat. It is mainly used for the rear support legs of folding bimini tops, allowing them to slide forward or backward during deployment and stowage of the canopy. The slider is crafted from solid 316 stainless steel, providing high load capacity and durability for long-term use in saltwater environments.
The design includes a locking thumb screw that lets you secure the slider at any point along the track. When the screw is loosened, you can easily slide the bimini frame to the optimal position – for example, push it backward when raising the canopy, or pull it forward to lay it down when lowering. Then tighten the screw to ensure the frame stays put while underway. Two sizes are available: one for Ø22 mm tubing (common on smaller biminis) and one for Ø25 mm tubing (found on larger/heavier-duty frames).
- Adjust your shade: Using sliders, you can fine-tune the angle and position of your bimini top to maximize shade depending on the sun’s position. This is especially useful during fishing or all-day outings.
- Compatibility: These sliders fit standard bimini slide tracks (typically an aluminum rail with a groove). They can replace worn plastic sliders, giving a more secure and robust solution.
- Applications: Suitable for any boat with a bimini top – powerboats, RIBs, sailing yachts (often used for sprayhood/Dodger frames as well).
- Convenience: Installing a track with sliders on your boat enables you to fold and store the canopy neatly without full disassembly – simply slide it to the end of the track and fold down. This saves time and extends the life of your equipment.
