Available Options & Recommended Use:

• Ø12 mm Oarlocks: Best suited for smaller dinghies and inflatable boats (typically 2–3 m length). The 12 mm pin fits the standard oar sockets found on compact inflatables. Example: Use Ø12 mm oarlocks on yacht tenders or small fishing inflatables where the oar shaft diameter is around 28–32 mm. This size provides firm support for oars under moderate rowing force. (Codes: 34.430.00 – a compact profile for narrower oars up to ~38 mm blade width; 34.170.11 – a slightly larger profile accommodating oars up to ~41 mm blade width.)
• Ø14 mm Oarlocks: Designed for larger inflatables and RIBs (3–4+ m), which use thicker, heavier oars. The 14 mm pin offers extra strength and fits larger oarlock bases. Example: Choose Ø14 mm for lifeboats, bigger tenders, or anytime your oars have ~32–35 mm shafts. This ensures solid rowing performance without flex even under higher stress. (Codes: 34.170.12 – standard height model, fits oar blades ~41 mm; 34.193.00 – extended-height model with a wider opening for very thick oars up to ~50 mm, ideal for boats with larger tube diameters or heavy-duty oars.)

Each oarlock set includes the U-shaped horn and an integrated brass pin that drops into a socket mounted on the boat. Note: Ensure you have a compatible oar socket/base to receive the pin (Ø12 mm or Ø14 mm as needed). We offer matching plastic or metal sockets separately if required. Installation is straightforward – the oar sits in the U-shaped cradle, and the pin inserts vertically into the base on the boat’s gunwale, providing a pivot point for smooth rowing action.
