Sea-Line Epoxy Resin is a versatile structural epoxy system ideal for a wide range of marine construction and repair tasks. This two-component resin and hardener system cures to form a solid, durable laminate with superior adhesion to diverse substrates. It is suitable for use on both above-water and below-water surfaces of boats and yachts, and once cured it exhibits outstanding resistance to mechanical stress and moisture. Sea-Line Epoxy Resin is a clear resin that mixes easily with its hardener and can be applied by brush or roller without the need for thinning. Achieve professional-level results – from fabricating new composite components to repairing osmotic blisters or hull damage – with this high-performance marine epoxy.

  • Uses & Applications: Recommended for hand lay-up with fiberglass mat or cloth to reinforce weakened areas, fill cracks, and bond structural elements. When using resin with fiberglass mat, a 2:1 weight ratio (resin:mat) is advised, and for woven fiberglass fabric, a 1:1 ratio is ideal; these mix ratios ensure a fully solid and strong laminate. Once cured, the resin creates a rigid layer with excellent substrate adhesion, free of shrinkage or voids. The hardened laminate is extremely impact resistant and vibration tolerant, making it perfect for hull repairs, deck reinforcement, and other high-stress areas. After laminating, you can fair and smooth the surface with Sea-Line epoxy fillers, then prime and topcoat with Sea-Line epoxy primers and marine paints to achieve a smooth finish and UV protection.
  • Variants & Recommendations: Available in multiple package sizes to suit the scope of your project. 250 g Repair Kit – ideal for small, quick repairs of localized damage. This convenient kit includes epoxy resin with hardener, a 0.25 m² fiberglass mat, measuring cup, brush, and disposable gloves, giving you everything needed for minor patch jobs. 0.9 kg Set – suited for medium-sized repairs and structural reinforcements (contains resin and hardener sufficient for fixing moderate hull breaches or strengthening deck sections). 5 kg Set – designed for large-scale projects such as complete hull laminations or building new composite parts; provides a substantial quantity of resin and hardener for professional boatbuilding applications. All sets contain the proper amount of Component A (resin) and Component B (hardener) to ensure the correct mix ratio and ultimate strength of the cured epoxy.
  • Advantages: After mixing, the resin offers a pot life of approximately 45 minutes at 23°C, giving you ample working time to apply it before curing begins (full cure in about 7 hours). The resin is solvent-free, ensuring minimal shrinkage and a clear, high-strength cured layer. Its excellent adhesion prevents delamination or cracking over time. For maximum structural integrity, apply 2–4 layers of laminate as needed to reach the desired thickness. The cured laminate provides exceptional hardness and effective osmosis resistance, extending the longevity of your repair. Note: Always follow the recommended mix proportions and working conditions (around 20°C ambient temperature) for best results. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, respirator) when handling the resin and hardener.
