This electrical connector set provides a secure and convenient way to attach devices to a boat’s or vehicle’s power supply. The set includes a male plug and a matching female socket that join together snugly to ensure a stable electrical connection. Thanks to its waterproof construction with rubber gaskets, the set is ideal for use in wet or dusty environments – whether mounted on a boat deck, in an open cockpit, or on a trailer. Two configurations are available: 2-pin for standard positive/negative connections, and 4-pin for scenarios requiring multiple conductors (for example, devices with more complex wiring or delivering power to two circuits at once). Both versions work with either 12V or 24V systems, making them versatile for various equipment and vehicles. The maximum current these connectors can handle is suitable for small to medium loads (e.g. lighting, fans, navigation instruments). Sturdy metal pins (made of brass or other non-corroding alloy) ensure a solid contact with minimal voltage drop, and the durable plastic housings protect the internals from impact and UV exposure. Connecting and disconnecting the set is quick – simply plug the male into the female and twist/lock (if a lock mechanism is present) for a secure fit. This set is especially useful for portable devices: you can easily unplug and remove an appliance when not in use or for off-season storage, without hard-wiring and unwiring each time.
- 2-Pin Set – Uses: Great for standard power hookup (positive & negative) of equipment up to about 5A, such as a deck spotlight, water pump, or portable cooler. The quick-disconnect makes it easy to stow the device when not needed.
- 4-Pin Set – Uses: Choose the 4-pin version when you need to connect a device with multiple wires or two separate circuits through one connector (e.g. combination lights with separate circuits, or providing power + sensor lines). Max current ~3–5A per circuit.
- Installation: Mount the female socket on a firm surface; ensure the rubber O-ring or seal is in place for water protection. The male plug wires into the device’s cable.
- Safety: Secure the wires using proper crimp terminals or solder for reliable contact. When using on a 24V system, double-check insulation and connections, as higher voltage demands extra caution to prevent shorts.
