Quicksilver Premium 2-Stroke Marine Engine Oil

Code:
92-858021QB1

A high-performance Quicksilver Premium TC-W3 two-stroke oil formulated for optimal protection and performance of outboard motors and other 2-stroke engines. This ashless formulation provides excellent lubrication, reduces exhaust smoke, and prevents deposit build-up on pistons and spark plugs. It guards internal engine components against rust and keeps intake/exhaust passages clean, extending engine life. Suitable for premix or oil-injection on small to mid-size engines, it meets NMMA TC-W3 standards for use in all water-cooled 2-stroke engines.

  • Premium 2-stroke oil (TC-W3 certified) – superior lubrication and wear protection
  • Ashless formula – prevents carbon build-up and keeps spark plugs from fouling
  • Reduces smoke and emissions – cleaner burning for smoother engine running
  • Protects against corrosion in the combustion chamber, prevents deposit formation in exhaust, and avoids ring sticking

Quicksilver Premium 2-Stroke Oil is a trusted choice for anyone looking to keep their two-stroke engine – be it an outboard motor, PWC, or small power equipment – in optimal condition. As an NMMA TC-W3 certified oil, it meets the rigorous requirements for use in water-cooled 2-stroke engines, ensuring your outboard receives the protection it needs under all operating conditions.

This exclusive Quicksilver formulation provides superior lubrication to all moving parts. When mixed with fuel, it forms a stable blend that won’t separate, delivering even lubrication to cylinders and bearings. Thanks to its ashless technology, upon combustion the oil does not leave hard residues (ash) – meaning pistons, rings, and exhaust ports stay cleaner, and spark plugs remain effective longer without oil fouling.

Corrosion-inhibiting additives in the oil protect the engine’s internals – moisture and byproducts of combustion won’t cause rust on cylinder walls or bearings, even if the boat sits unused for an extended period. The formula is also designed to reduce smoke: when used at the correct ratio, your engine will produce less visible exhaust smoke, which is appreciated by both the operator and those around (especially important for watersports or when idling in a marina). The oil performs well across a broad temperature range – it maintains its viscosity and fluidity even in cold weather (down to -25°C / -13°F), so your engine can start easily at the beginning of the season or on chilly days.

  • Typical use cases: Quicksilver Premium 2-Stroke oil is intended for all carbureted or oil-injected two-stroke outboard engines, particularly in the small to mid horsepower range. It’s ideal for engines on boats up to around 75 HP, where a “Premium” grade oil is recommended to ensure clean running. It can be used in both pre-mix applications (common for older or smaller engines – e.g., 50:1 mix, where 10 liters of fuel require 200 ml of oil) and automatic oil injection systems found on many boats, jet skis, ATVs, or snowmobiles. Beyond marine use, this oil is also suitable for other 2-stroke engines: personal watercraft (jet skis), two-stroke motorcycles and scooters, snowmobiles – as long as the manufacturer calls for a TC-W3 or similar spec oil. Its clean-burning formula makes it a versatile solution across these applications.
  • Recommended boats/environments: Particularly well-suited for boats with low to mid-power 2-stroke outboard engines – for example, inflatable dinghies with 5-30 HP motors, fishing boats with 40-60 HP outboards, or classic older outboard engines on runabouts. In these cases, Quicksilver Premium keeps the engine running cleanly and reliably. For higher-horsepower two-stroke engines (large V6 outboards or high-performance/racing engines), Mercury typically recommends stepping up to Premium Plus or synthetic oils, but Premium can still be used under lighter duty conditions. In both freshwater and saltwater environments, this oil performs excellently: preventing corrosion from salty air inside the cylinders and bearings, and reducing smoke output – a benefit when operating in calm coves or crowded waterways.
  • Usage tips: Mix according to the manufacturer’s recommended ratio – most commonly 50:1 (2%) for many outboards, unless specified otherwise. Shake the oil well before use, and if pouring into a fuel tank, add the oil first then the gasoline to ensure better mixing (or shake the portable fuel tank after filling). Observe the color and clarity of your exhaust – Premium oil will minimize smoke, but a faint blue haze is normal as proof that oil is burning. Check and clean your spark plugs periodically: with the correct mix, they should have a light brownish tint without wet black deposits. Store the oil tightly sealed in a cool place; keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture. Use fresh gasoline for mixing – stale fuel can impair the quality of the blend even with good oil. By using Quicksilver Premium 2-Stroke Oil, your engine will run smoother, be better protected against premature wear, and maintain its power output for longer.
