This bow anchor roller is purpose-built for popular Bruce/Force “claw” anchors, ensuring hassle-free handling and secure stowage. It is made from cast AISI316 stainless steel with a mirror finish for maximum durability and a sleek look. The design features a drop-nose/hinged roller that automatically helps “tip off” the anchor when you release it – a valuable feature in windy conditions or when single-handed. During retrieval, the guide centers the anchor and holds it firmly, preventing it from striking the hull.

It comes in two sizes to suit different needs:

• 380mm model: Suitable for anchors up to ~10kg (e.g., Bruce 7.5–10kg) and chain of 6–8mm. Its compact profile is ideal for smaller boats (approximately 6–8m length), allowing them to utilize a claw-type anchor with convenient bow stowage.
• 480mm model: The extended version accommodates anchors up to ~15kg and chain of 8–10mm, making it an excellent choice for mid-sized vessels (around 8–10+ m). The greater length provides better leverage for launching heavier anchors and extra clearance from the bow.

Benefits and usage: Both versions employ the self-launching hinge mechanism to start the anchor falling forward and downward without manual push – the anchor releases as soon as you slack the rode, making anchoring safer and more controlled. In the raised position, the roller’s shape cradles the anchor securely, eliminating unwanted swinging or rattling in waves.
