Quicksilver Premium Plus 2-Stroke Oil is specifically formulated to meet the demands of modern high-performance 2-stroke marine engines. Its advanced synthetic-blend formula provides reliable lubrication to all critical components, protecting the engine from wear and corrosion even during prolonged high-RPM operation. Premium Plus minimizes the formation of harmful deposits – thanks to its ashless dispersants, this oil keeps pistons, rings, and exhaust systems clean, which helps preserve the engine’s original power and acceleration.

This oil is suitable for all 2-stroke outboard engines, including oil-injected (auto-lube) systems and those requiring premixed fuel/oil. It can be used in carbureted models, engines with electronic fuel injection (EFI), as well as direct fuel injection (DFI) outboards – for example, Mercury Optimax, Yamaha HPDI, Evinrude E-TEC, and others that call for a TC-W3 oil. Premium Plus meets and exceeds all requirements of the NMMA TC-W3 standard, ensuring compatibility with most outboard manufacturers’ recommendations.

In operation, the oil provides a stable lubricating film on all moving parts, reducing friction even under high RPM and heavy load conditions. This means less wear on bearings and cylinder walls and a lower risk of overheating during extreme use. Additionally, the special additives in Premium Plus protect the engine against corrosion, which is especially crucial when running in saltwater or when the engine sits unused for extended periods. Usage and Maintenance Instructions:

  • For engines with oil-injection: simply keep the oil reservoir filled. Check the oil level before each outing and top off with Premium Plus as needed.
  • For premix engines: mix the oil with gasoline at the manufacturer’s recommended ratio (e.g., 50:1 if specified). Use a clean container to ensure accurate mixing.
  • Always use fresh fuel and consider adding a fuel stabilizer to prevent varnish deposits in the fuel system. Premium Plus oil’s detergency will help reduce such deposits thanks to its cleaning properties.
  • Store the oil container tightly sealed in a cool, dry place. Before long periods of inactivity (e.g., off-season storage), ensure the engine has run with Premium Plus so an oil film remains on internal parts for protection.
  • Pair this oil with regular spark plug changes and filter cleaning to ensure optimal performance from your 2-stroke engine.
