These 3-pin shore power connectors (plug and socket) provide a safe and reliable connection between your boat and dockside power. Made of marine-grade polycarbonate with UV inhibitors, they are durable and resistant to the harsh marine environment. The set includes connectors rated at 16A and 32A, covering the needs of small to medium-sized vessels for 230V AC shore power. The IP44 splash-proof design ensures protection against moisture and light rain, suitable for use in covered marina areas or on deck when not directly exposed to heavy seas.

Whether you need to hook up at the marina for battery charging or running onboard appliances, this plug-and-socket system offers ease of use and dependable performance. Both the male and female connectors are color-coded in standard marine blue for easy identification of 230V shore power. The male plug typically attaches to the marina’s electrical pedestal, while the female socket connects to the boat’s power inlet or an extension cord leading onboard. The female connector features a protective flip lid to shield the contacts when not in use. High-quality nickel-plated brass contact pins ensure minimal voltage drop and resist corrosion for a long service life. The robust design of these connectors ensures a secure connection that won’t easily loosen due to movement or vibration. They conform to the IEC 60309 standard (blue coding for 230V single-phase), ensuring compatibility with marina power outlets across Europe and beyond.

Use Cases and Recommendations :

  • 16A Male Plug (Blue): Ideal for smaller boats (e.g. day cruisers, sailboats up to ~8–10 m) that draw up to 16A (~3.6 kW) from shore. Connects to a standard 16A dock outlet.
  • 16A Female Connector with Cover (Blue): Connects to the boat’s shore power inlet or an extension cable. Recommended for protecting the connection on small vessels; the built-in cap keeps water out when unplugged.
  • 32A Male Plug (Blue): Suited for larger boats or those with higher power needs (up to ~7 kW). Commonly used on mid-sized yachts that require more current (e.g. air conditioning). Plugs into a 32A marina supply socket.
  • 32A Female Connector with Cover (Blue): Attaches to the boat’s shore power inlet or cable for higher-load applications. Ideal for yachts and workboats using 32A shore power; the secure cover prevents moisture ingress when not connected.
