This bow stop for boat trailers is made of high-quality rubber designed to absorb impact and protect the bow of your boat during loading and transport. It mounts on the trailer’s bow support or winch post where the boat’s bow rests, preventing direct contact between the boat’s hull and any metal parts. The bow stop adds stability to the boat on the trailer, keeping it securely centered and protecting the gelcoat from scratches or damage. The rubber material is UV-stable and saltwater-resistant, ensuring a long service life even with regular use in marine environments. Three available sizes allow you to choose the optimal fit for your boat:
- 04651-1 (Small): Dimensions ~54 x 54 x 83 mm. Suited for small boats, personal watercraft, and inflatables (roughly up to 3–4 m in length). Provides ample support for the bow of compact vessels.
- 04651-2 (Medium): Dimensions ~63 x 51 x 89 mm. Recommended for medium-sized boats (around 4–6 m long). The wider profile cradles the boat’s bow securely and absorbs shock during transport.
- 04651-3 (Large): Dimensions ~76 x 79 x 95 mm. Ideal for larger boats and powerboats (6–8 m). The wide V-shape holds the bow of heavy boats firmly in place and withstands greater forces during sudden stops or starts.
When choosing a size, ensure the stop fits the contour of your boat’s bow snugly without excessive play. Installation is done with a Ø12.7 mm (1/2") bolt through the center hole – a standard size on most trailers. Recommendation: Periodically inspect the bow stop for wear or cracks, especially if you frequently tow your boat. Replacing a worn stopper in time will maintain secure trailering and continued protection for your boat.
