Waterproof marine speakers by EVAL offering great sound and rugged design. Sold in pairs, available in two sizes and colors to suit any boat’s audio setup:

  • Excellent Outdoor Sound: Waterproof speakers with powerful, clear audio thanks to high-strength cones and 2-way coaxial design. Ideal for music playback, VHF voice, and navigation alerts.
  • Durable ABS Build: Made from impact-resistant ABS plastic with UV protection – no corrosion, built to withstand harsh weather. Grill and frame resist saltwater damage.
  • Two Sizes / Power Ratings: 6.5-inch (165mm) speakers – 160W RMS (peak ~650W) for stronger bass and coverage on larger boats; 5.75-inch (146mm) – 120W RMS (peak ~480W) for compact spaces and smaller vessels.
  • IPX6 Rated: Water protection class IPX6 (survives heavy splashes and rain) – perfect for mounting in cockpits, decks, and flybridges. Corrosion-resistant terminals and coated magnets for longevity.
  • Easy Integration: 4Ω impedance, compatible with standard marine amplifiers and stereos. Offered in white or black (models “W” and “BL”) to match your boat’s interior.

EVAL Marine Speakers are designed for those who want quality sound at sea without worrying about reliability. These speakers are waterproof and purpose-built for outdoor and onboard use. They feature a coaxial 2-way design, meaning each unit has a separate high-frequency tweeter and mid-bass driver engineered to deliver optimal sound across the spectrum. The result is loud, balanced audio that can cut through wind and engine noise.

Marine-Grade Ruggedness: EVAL speakers are crafted with attention to durability:

  • The frame and grille are made of marine-grade ABS plastic – this material won’t rust like metal grilles, nor will it suffer UV damage or heat deformation. Even with constant sun exposure, the white speakers will stay white and the black ones won’t chalk or fade.
  • Internal components – cones, surrounds, etc. – are made from moisture-resistant materials (for example, polypropylene cones and rubber surrounds) that won’t warp or deteriorate in humidity. The magnets are coated or isolated to prevent corrosion from salty air. The speaker terminals are stainless or gold-plated to ensure a reliable connection to your wiring in a damp environment. All these features mean the speakers can perform reliably season after season.

Power and Sizes: Two main sizes are available:

  • 6.5-inch speakers (codes 03062-2 and 03062-2BL): These are the classic 165mm diameter drivers, popular in marine audio. Their nominal RMS power handling is 160W, meaning they can continuously handle significant amplifier power. Their peak power (~650W) indicates how much they can take on short dynamic bursts. These speakers deliver deeper bass and higher volume – recommended for larger boats or when you want the sound to carry clearly over an open deck or while underway.
  • 5.75-inch speakers (codes 03062-4 and 03062-4BL): Diameter ~146mm, a bit more compact yet still coaxial and punchy. Their RMS rating is 120W (peak ~480W), which is excellent for their size. They are ideal for smaller vessels (fishing boats, jet boats, tenders, yachts around 5-6m) or for installations in tight spaces (small cabins, helm seats, etc.) where a 6.5" might not fit. Despite the smaller form, they offer impressive sound, more than enough for close-range fun and ambient music.

Sound Performance: Both sizes boast a wide frequency range – covering bass, midrange, and treble so there are no “gaps” in the audio. This means you’ll hear the thump of the drum, as well as the details in the vocals and guitars. Of course, for the very lowest sub-bass (below ~50Hz), adding a subwoofer (like the EVAL 10" sub) would enhance things further, but these speakers themselves are tuned to give the most out of their dimensions. With a sensitivity around the 90dB mark (typical for this class), they will get plenty loud from standard amplifiers (you don’t need an enormous amp to drive them effectively). Their 4Ω impedance is standard – making them compatible with most marine receivers and amps out there, which are generally designed with 4Ω speakers in mind.

Installation and Aesthetics: These speakers are flush-mount models. Required cutout diameters are approximately 130mm for the 5.75" and 140mm for the 6.5" (exact specs provided in the manual). They secure with screws (usually 4 or 6) to the mounting surface. They come with decorative grilles that cover the screws and give a finished look. You have the choice of white color – great for light-colored consoles and the classic boat look – or black color – which might match dark dashboards, other electronics, or simply your style preference. In both cases the material is the same; the color doesn’t affect durability or sound, it just complements your boat’s décor.

Practical Use: With EVAL marine speakers, you add entertainment and functionality on board. For example, during a calm cruise or while fishing, you can play soft background music. When hosting a dockside or on-board party, these speakers will provide enough volume to keep the mood lively. Additionally, if you route your VHF radio or emergency receiver output through them, important announcements will be heard clearly throughout the boat. Thus, they serve a dual role – for enjoyment and for safety.

In summary, EVAL’s 03062 series marine speakers combine high power, true marine-grade construction, and integration flexibility. They’re an excellent choice for upgrading or installing a new audio system on your boat, giving you confidence that they’ll withstand marine challenges and sound great during all your adventures on the water.
