This product consists of the horn trumpet portion (the plastic acoustic cone) that, when attached to a pressurized gas canister, emits a powerful horn blast audible over long distances – crucial for signaling in fog, low visibility, or emergency situations. We offer two types of horn mechanisms to match your canister style:
- Snap-On Horn (19 cm): A longer trumpet that easily snaps on to the top of compatible push-on gas canisters. Its extended length is engineered to amplify the sound for maximum volume. Simply press it firmly onto the canister valve and press the can to activate a booming signal.
- Screw-On Horn (11 cm): A compact trumpet with a threaded base that screws on securely to gas canisters with screw-top valves. Though shorter, it delivers a high-pitched, intense sound. Twist it onto the canister until snug, and it’s ready to use.
Both horn mechanisms are made of durable, corrosion-resistant plastic designed to withstand marine conditions (salt air, sun exposure) without cracking. They produce an extremely loud blast (typically over 100 dB) to alert nearby vessels or shoreline personnel to your presence. These horns are ideal for meeting coast guard requirements and general marine safety – use them as fog signals, distress signals, or for rallying attention as needed. Lightweight and portable, you can store the horn easily and attach it to your gas canister only when required, preventing accidental discharges.
