Quicksilver Oil Filter for Mercury Verado 135–200 HP (35-877767Q01)
The Quicksilver 35-877767Q01 is the recommended oil filter for all Mercury Verado inline 4-cylinder outboard engines rated at 135, 150, 175, and 200 HP (4-strokes with supercharger). These “small” Verados, despite their compact size, are high-performing thanks to forced induction, and they demand reliable lubrication. The genuine Quicksilver filter ensures their oil remains clean even under heavy operation.
With this filter, you get an integrated anti-drainback valve that retains oil in the filter when the engine is off. This means at startup, oil instantly reaches the supercharger and top end of the engine – crucial for preventing wear during cold starts. The internal filter element has a specially pleated design for maximum flow rate, since the Verado L4 runs at high oil pressure. It captures soot, metal debris, and other contaminants, keeping critical components (bearings, cylinders, the supercharger) safe from damage.
The canister construction is extremely robust – the filter is built to withstand the intense vibration of the 4-cylinder engine and wide temperature swings. A corrosion-resistant coating protects against rust, which is important if you run your boat in saltwater. Installation is quick and easy, with no special tools needed beyond a standard filter wrench. This filter supersedes earlier Mercury part numbers (such as 35-896546T) and offers improved filtration compared to some aftermarket alternatives. For best performance, replace the Verado L4’s oil filter and oil annually or around every 100 hours, since the supercharged engine puts extra stress on the lubricant.
