This oar holder clip allows you to neatly stow your oars alongside the boat when they’re not in use. Made of white nylon, the clip is UV-stabilized and saltwater-proof, retaining its strength and color over time. We offer two sizes: one for slim oars ~Ø20 mm (e.g., for canoes, kayaks, or very small boats) and one for standard oars ~Ø30 mm (typical for most inflatables and rowboats).
Features and Benefits:
- Secure Clamp: The clip firmly grips the oar. Its design “snaps” around the oar shaft to hold it steady even amidst engine vibrations or waves. This prevents the oar from rattling or shifting, avoiding potential damage or noise.
- Versatile Mounting: Depending on your boat type, there are multiple installation methods. For inflatable boats, the clip can be glued directly to the PVC tube (using the appropriate adhesive) – typically on the inside or top of the tube where the oar lies parallel. For hard boats or kayaks, the clip has screw holes – it can be fixed to a gunwale, railing, or any flat surface with stainless screws. In both cases, the clip’s low-profile design stays out of the way when the oar is removed.
- Protects Oar and Boat: The inner surface of the holder is smooth and free of sharp edges, so it won’t scratch the oar’s finish or the boat’s paint/skin. By keeping the oar secured, the clip also protects your boat – the oar won’t bang against the side or slide around causing damage.
- Quick Release: When it’s time to use the oar, it can be freed with one motion – just pull the oar away with a moderate tug and the clip will release it. At the same time, the design is tight enough to prevent accidental dislodging.
- Two Sizes for Different Applications:
- Ø20 mm Clip: Recommended for very small-diameter oars, kids’ boats, kayaks, or as an extra holder for thin poles (like fishing net handles, boat hooks on small crafts, etc.). Example: If you have a kayak paddle with ~22 mm shaft, you can use Ø20 mm clips to hold the two halves of the paddle in place.
- Ø30 mm Clip: Standard for oars on inflatable boats 2–4 m long. Example: Install two of these clips on the sides of a 10-foot inflatable – one near the bow and one near the stern – so the oar (around 28–30 mm shaft) can be secured parallel to the tube, quietly and safely out of the way.
By using these oar holder clips, your boat will stay organized and your oars will always be held securely in place and ready for use, without the risk of them rolling overboard or getting damaged.
