This AISI316 stainless steel U-bolt is designed to provide an exceptionally secure hold for equipment on your boat or trailer. Made from premium 316 stainless steel, the U-bolt resists corrosion and will not rust even with constant exposure to saltwater. The set includes two flat stainless steel backing plates – one for each side of the U-bolt – which help distribute the clamping force over a wider area. This prevents damage to the mounted surface and ensures the connection remains extremely stable and strong.
Whether you need to fasten a railing to the deck, install a bimini top frame, secure an engine or trailer bunks, this U-bolt has you covered. We offer a range of sizes to suit different needs:
- Ø6 mm U-bolt (approx. 80 mm inside length, 48 mm thread length): Ideal for light-duty applications – securing antenna mounts, small rails, or routing cables and hoses on deck. Great for small boats and light framework.
- Ø8 mm U-bolt (approx. 90 mm inside length, 42 mm thread): A versatile medium size for general use. Use it to clamp medium-diameter pipes, such as fishing rod holders, hand rails, or deck fittings.
- Ø10 mm U-bolt – available in two options:
- Ø10 mm (inside length ~80 mm, thread ~40 mm): A shorter version for compact installations – e.g., fastening engine components or supports in tight spaces.
- Ø10 mm (inside length ~100 mm, thread ~52 mm): An extended version suited for thicker structures or when extra clamp depth is needed (e.g., bolting through a thick beam or securing larger hardware).
- Ø12 mm U-bolt (approx. 140 mm inside length, 75 mm thread): A heavy-duty clamp for robust applications. Perfect for securing larger structures – for example, attaching helm consoles, heavy trailer rollers, large bimini frames, or other high-load elements requiring strong support.
- Ø14 mm U-bolt (approx. 150 mm inside length, 85 mm thread): The largest in the range, meant for the maximum loads. Suitable for industrial and marine tasks where extremely heavy or critical components need fastening – e.g., base plates for davits or cranes, anchor winch brackets, or substantial engine mounts.
All variants come with four stainless steel nuts (two per side, allowing double-nutting for extra security), ensuring a tight lock that won’t loosen due to vibration. Installation is straightforward: drill two holes, insert the U-bolt, place the plates on each side, and tighten the nuts. Stainless U-bolts with two backing plates give you peace of mind and reliability – once installed, they hold firm even under vibration, wave impact, and high stress, keeping your equipment securely in place where it belongs.
