Protect your high-current marine equipment with these waterproof thermal circuit breakers, engineered specifically for heavy loads like anchor windlasses and bow thrusters. These breakers serve a dual purpose – they function as both a fuse and a switch, tripping to cut power during an overload and allowing manual reset once the issue is resolved. Built to meet U.S. SAE J1171 and J1625 standards for marine ignition protection, they are safe for use in engine compartments (spark-proof). The breakers are sealed (IP67) to prevent water ingress, ensuring reliable operation in wet conditions.

Models and Ratings: Five amperage ratings are available – 60A, 80A, 120A, 150A, and 200A – to match the requirements of various electric winches, capstans, thrusters, or battery banks. Each rating comes in two mounting styles:

  • Flush Mount (built-in): Low-profile installation, fitting into a panel cutout. (Codes: 02.750.60, 02.750.80, 02.750.120, 02.750.150, 02.750.200 for 60–200A respectively.)
  • Surface Mount (external): Bolt-on installation to a flat surface with protective cover. (Codes: 02.751.60, 02.751.80, 02.751.120, 02.751.150, 02.751.200 for 60–200A.)

All variants are resettable via a lever or button – if tripped, you can easily disconnect the load (some models have a lever that also serves as an on-off switch) and then reset the breaker once the fault is cleared. They operate across a wide temperature range (-32°C to +82°C) and up to 42V DC, making them suitable for 12V or 24V systems on boats. Housed in a robust thermoset plastic body with stainless steel hardware, these breakers are made to withstand the marine environment.

By installing one of these magnetothermal breakers in your windlass or thruster circuit, you provide critical protection against overloads or short circuits, while also gaining the convenience of a manual disconnect switch. In an emergency or for maintenance, you can trip the breaker deliberately to cut power. The waterproof design and ignition-safe construction mean they can be mounted near the battery or in the engine room without risk. Invest in these breakers to safeguard expensive equipment – if an anchor windlass stalls or a thruster motor jams, the breaker will trip and save your wiring from damage, and you can simply reset it instead of replacing a fuse.
