This deck shower set combines the convenience of a push-button shower head with the added safety and control of an on/off switch. The “Mizar” shower box with on/off switch is designed especially for small and medium boats where the shower connects directly to a pump system without a separate faucet or mixer. The built-in waterproof on/off toggle allows you to power the water pump (or solenoid valve) on and off right at the shower – a valuable feature for boats without constant pressure water systems, or to prevent unintentional water flow.

The housing is made of robust ASA plastic with UV protection and comes in white, blending well with any yacht interior or exterior. The oval lid closes flush (outer dimension 185 x 124 mm) and protects the inside from spray, dirt, and UV rays. The required cutout (~150 x 80 mm, with 40 mm depth) is relatively shallow, making installation feasible even in tighter bulkheads or cockpit sides.

Benefits and Applications:

  • Ideal for Small/Medium Boats: This shower box is particularly recommended for boats around 16–30 feet (5–9 m) that lack elaborate plumbing systems. On such vessels, the water pump is often manually controlled – here the on/off switch takes on that role, giving you point-of-use control of water flow. For example, on a center console fishing boat or a compact sailboat where space is limited, this all-in-one shower unit provides the essentials for a deck shower without requiring additional fixtures.
  • On/Off Switch – Why It Matters: The integrated waterproof on/off button lets you cut power to the pump when the shower is not in use, preventing unwanted pressure build-up or leaks in the hose. This is useful in setups without an automatic pressure switch, or whenever you want to ensure that during navigation there’s no accidental spray (for instance, if the shower head’s push-button gets pressed by gear). It also means you can turn off the pump after showering right there, without needing to go to the main control panel.
  • Usage: After a day out on the water, it’s easy to rinse off salt and sand – simply open the lid, press the on/off switch to activate the pump, and use the push-button handset to direct the spray where needed. You can use the shower in the cockpit to wash feet and gear, or even in a small enclosed head/shower compartment on board. When finished, toggle the pump off again using the switch – your system is now secure and won’t accidentally run.
  • Hose Variants: Choosing between the 2.5m and 4m hose depends on your layout. The 2.5m option works well if the shower is installed near where it will be used (such as in a cockpit or near a swim step). If you desire more flexibility – say, to reach a swim platform or various corners of the deck – the 4m hose provides that freedom, especially on beamier boats. The hose is a reinforced PVC type, designed to resist kinking and marine conditions.
  • Installation & Maintenance: Installation involves cutting a rectangular hole of about 150 x 80 mm. The kit comes with mounting screws and seals; it’s good practice to apply a bead of marine sealant around the flange for a completely watertight fit. Maintenance is straightforward: occasionally check the electrical connections on the on/off switch for corrosion (they are sealed, but a glance ensures all is well), and rinse the shower head and switch with fresh water after use. All components are corrosion-resistant, but a quick freshwater rinse after saltwater use will extend their life and keep them looking new.
