A professional-grade deck shower in a box, complete with integrated mixer for the comfort of home on your boat. The “Mizar” deck shower features a chromed brass shower head with a convenient push-button trigger – water flows when pressed and stops when released, helping conserve water. The UV-resistant ASA plastic housing with white lid protects the unit from sun and weather, ensuring longevity. This shower kit adds both style and functionality to your vessel, perfect for rinsing off after swimming or cleaning the deck.
Designed for vertical bulkhead (wall) installation, the unit’s compact dimensions (cutout 195 x 95 mm, outer 240 x 145 mm) allow versatile placement in a cockpit wall, transom, or even a heads/shower compartment. With a built-in hot/cold mixer valve, it’s ideal for boats equipped with a water heater, providing the luxury of adjustable temperature for refreshing warm showers on board.
Usage and Variant Recommendations:
- Hose Length: Choose the 2.5m hose version for smaller to mid-sized boats (around 20–26 feet) where the water tank or pump is close to the shower location. For larger vessels or when you need extra reach, opt for the 4m hose variant, which allows the shower to be comfortably used over a wider area or even down on a swim platform.
- Mounting & Placement: This shower is designed for wall mounting – for example, on a cockpit coaming, transom bulkhead, or inside an engine well. Ensure there is sufficient clearance behind the panel (approximately 47 mm for the box + 87 mm for the mixer) to accommodate the mixer mechanism during installation.
- Application: Ideal for sailboats and motor yachts with onboard water systems that provide hot water, this shower lets crew and guests enjoy a comfortable rinse after swimming or at day’s end. The hot/cold mixer elevates the experience by delivering warm showers, while the push-button shower head prevents water waste – a crucial benefit when fresh water is limited on board.
- Maintenance: After use, rinse the shower head and mixer with fresh water and allow them to drain to prevent salt or mineral buildup. Close the ASA plastic lid when the shower is not in use to protect the hose and head from UV exposure and dirt. This will keep the chrome finish shining and the mechanism working smoothly for many seasons.
