Adjustable ±30° Gangway Mount (AISI 316 Stainless, 25mm)

Code:
42.660.25

Stainless steel adjustable base for mounting a boat gangway (passerelle) with a Ø25 mm pin, allowing ±30° tilt. Provides a secure attachment while accommodating changing angles due to dock height or boat movement. Made of polished AISI 316, this mount is ideal for long-term use in saltwater.

  • Offers a swiveling mount (+/- 30°) for the gangway – adapts to variable angles during boarding.
  • Premium AISI 316 stainless steel (mirror-polished) – maximum corrosion resistance and a sleek appearance.
  • Broad mounting plate (~100×80 mm) with included backing plate – ensures stable installation on transom or hull side.
  • Compatible with gangways using a Ø25 mm mounting pin – a standard size for most passerelles.
  • Ensures smooth pivoting and secure positioning of the gangway; recommended for yachts and boats requiring a flexible deck-to-gangway connection.

This adjustable base (±30° tilt bushing) solves the issue of changing gangway angles when docking at various locations. When the boat moves relative to the dock (due to waves or tide), a standard fixed mount can cause strain or instability. With this hinged base, the gangway gains freedom of movement – it can tilt up or down by up to 30°, following the boat’s motion. This makes boarding much safer and protects your equipment from damage.

Constructed from AISI 316 stainless steel, the base withstands harsh marine conditions: neither saltwater nor high humidity will cause rust or structural weakening. The surface is mirror-polished, which not only looks great but also makes cleaning easy and resists dirt buildup. The mounting plate (~100×80 mm) provides a broad contact area with the hull, distributing load evenly. A backing plate is included for the inner side of the mounting surface, further reinforcing the attachment – especially useful when installing on fiberglass or thinner transoms.

Installation involves drilling holes and securing with bolts (stainless steel recommended) to the stern or deck. The bushing is designed for a Ø25 mm gangway pin/shaft – simply insert your passerelle’s pin into the socket and lock it in place. The result is a secure yet flexible connection: the gangway is stable laterally but can move vertically with the boat’s motion. This is particularly valuable for sailboats and cruisers that often dock at piers of varying heights or sway at anchor – the passerelle adjusts its angle without shifting or damage.

Additionally, the adjustable base allows you to stow the gangway upright: when not in use, you can lift the passerelle up (even to a vertical position) and the base will hold it at an angle, without needing to remove the entire gangway. This makes it easier to temporarily clear dock space or prepare for departure without fully detaching the passerelle.

  • Ideal use: For yachts and boats that dock at different marinas with varying dock heights, as well as on floating pontoons – the base compensates for angle changes and keeps the gangway steady.
  • Safety: Allows lifting the gangway out of the water when not in use, protecting it from waves and impacts. It also reduces the risk of the gangway slipping or sliding as the boat moves.
  • Compatibility: Standard for Osculati/EVAL passerelles – it fits all gangway models using a 25 mm pin. Check technical drawings if needed, but this size is widely used in marine gangway fittings.
