This foldable aluminum gangway combines robust construction with a premium look, thanks to its white lacquered finish and Iroko wood inserts. The white finish not only gives a modern, sleek appearance that complements most yacht hulls, but also provides extra protection against corrosion and UV degradation. Iroko is a tropical hardwood similar to teak, known for its outdoor durability; on this gangway, it serves as a non-slip grating, ensuring confident footing for boarding.
Three length options are available – 2.1 m, 2.6 m, and 3.1 m. This allows you to choose based on your boat’s freeboard height and the typical dock conditions you encounter. The shortest version suits smaller boats and lower piers, while the longest 3.1 m passerelle facilitates boarding for larger yachts or when facing higher quay walls. All versions share a width of 36 cm, providing ample walking space for comfort and stability.
The gangway is equipped with high-strength hinges and mounting hardware made of stainless steel – the main pivot pin (Ø25 mm) and deck socket ensure a solid and secure attachment to your vessel. By default, this model is supplied without a handrail, but it is designed to accept an add-on handrail kit – Osculati offers an optional stanchion (railing post) and rope set tailored to each length (available separately).
- 2.1 m model: Suited for small boats and RIBs up to around 6–8 m in length, or situations with very limited storage space. Its compact size makes handling and onboard stowage easy.
- 2.6 m model: A versatile mid-size, ideal for medium yachts (~8–10 m) – it strikes a balance between providing comfortable reach for boarding and ease of storage.
- 3.1 m model: The longest option, recommended for larger yachts (10+ m) or when dealing with high docks/piers. It offers maximum reach for boarding without compromising stability.
- All versions feature a lightweight design – a single person can deploy or fold the gangway. Despite the low weight (~16–21 kg range), the gangway is reinforced and can safely support substantial loads (passengers, gear) during boarding.
- The white coating is scratch-resistant and marine-grade, making this gangway an excellent choice for owners seeking a blend of functionality and style in their deck equipment.
