Diver Telescopic Ladder – 3-Step or 4-Step (Stainless, Folding)

These DIVER series telescopic ladders are specifically designed to mount under a swim platform or on the underside of a gangplank, providing a convenient way to get back on board from the water. They are made of high-grade AISI 316 stainless steel with a mirror shine, ensuring long-term resistance to rust and adding a touch of elegance to your boat. The steps are flat and wide with a black non-slip coating, offering excellent grip for bare feet or fins. The black color of the treads also reduces glare underwater, which divers will appreciate.

Two models are available: a 3-step ladder and a 4-step ladder. When fully extended, the three-step model reaches about 870 mm in length, and the four-step extends to roughly 1150 mm, measured from the mounting point to the lowest step. When retracted, their lengths are approximately 390 mm (3-step) and 440 mm (4-step), meaning they fold up compactly and take up minimal space beneath the platform. The ladder width is about 350 mm, which is comfortable for footing. The tube diameters taper through the telescoping sections (∅19/25/32 mm for 3-step, with an additional ∅38 mm section for the 4-step), providing stability and smooth sliding during folding.

Installation and use: The kit includes stainless steel mounting brackets that attach under your platform or gangway. The ladder secures to these brackets with bolts, allowing it to swing down and fold out. When you want to deploy it, you simply pull it aft and down – the telescopic sections slide out smoothly and lock in place, offering a secure ladder down to the water surface (and even below it to ease the first step). This is especially useful for divers, as the lowest step submerges sufficiently to get a foot on even with fins on.

The 3-step version is usually sufficient for boats with a lower swim platform, where 2–3 steps in the water give the needed reach. The 4-step version is recommended for vessels with a higher freeboard or if you desire extra convenience – the fourth step provides an even deeper reach into the water, ideal for climbing aboard with heavy dive gear. Both models have a high load capacity in line with industry standards (typically around 120–150 kg), ensuring that even a fully equipped diver can ascend safely.

When the ladder is not needed, it retracts completely under the platform, locking in the stowed position via an integrated catch (or strap, depending on design). Thus, it remains hidden and doesn’t spoil the boat’s profile or create drag underway. These ladders are indispensable for swimming and diving activities – they give you a secure way back on board, and the high quality of materials means you can count on them for many seasons of reliable service.
