This U-bolt with backing plate is designed for secure anchoring and towing, providing a strong attachment point on your boat or equipment. Thanks to the reinforcing cross plate installed on the inside, the pulling force is distributed over a wider area – this protects your boat’s hull or structure from damage and deformation under high loads. The U-bolt is made of high-quality stainless steel, making it resistant to rust and extreme outdoor conditions. It’s suitable for a wide range of applications: as a bow eye for trailer winch hookup, as a stern eye for watersports (e.g., towing a skier or banana boat), for securing an outboard motor on a transom mount, or even for lashing down deck cargo (tanks, crates) with ropes or straps.
- M4 (4 mm thread): The smallest U-bolt, about 45 mm inner width and 60 mm height. Great for very small boats, kayaks, or light-duty tasks. Example: can serve as a towing eye on a small inflatable or for fastening a canvas cover. Breaking strength ~1100 kg.
- M5 (5 mm thread): ~50 mm inner width, 80 mm height. This size is often used on small RIBs and jet skis. Supports around 1900 kg. Example: used as a bow eye on a 3–4 m RIB for trailer attachment, or as a mounting bolt for deck benches/seats.
- M6 (6 mm thread): ~50 mm width, 90 mm height. A versatile U-bolt for medium boats – can act as the bow eye on a ~5–6 m boat, or for installing additional railings or equipment. Strength ~2700 kg.
- M8 (8 mm thread): ~50 mm width, 80 mm height (shorter but thicker for added strength). Ideal for larger boats and yachts – as a stern tow point for pulling a water skier or big inflatable, or for securing heavy on-deck items. Handles ~4000 kg.
- M10 (10 mm thread): ~70 mm width, 90 mm height. A very strong bolt suitable for big yachts and powerboats. Can be used as a primary lifting eye when hoisting the boat with a crane, or as permanent dock mooring hardware. Breaking strength ~6600 kg.
- M12 (12 mm thread): ~83 mm width, 150 mm height. The beefiest model – for professional applications, large yachts, or small commercial vessels. Often serves in towing equipment or mounting heavy structural components. Supports up to ~11000 kg.
- Safety and complete kit: Each U-bolt comes with matching nuts (usually nylock self-locking) and washers. This ensures that once installed, the nuts won’t back off due to vibration. With proper installation (using the plate and washers), this U-bolt provides long-term, fail-safe service – whether you use it for pulling your boat onto a trailer or as a tie-down point on the boat itself.
