Blue Rubber Bow Stop for Trailer – 105 x 67 x 124 mm
This bow stop for trailers is designed to catch and protect the bow of your boat during loading onto the trailer and while towing. It’s made from a special blue rubber compound that combines toughness and flexibility – it’s firm enough to support the boat steadily, yet it offers a bit of give upon contact to absorb shocks and vibrations. Its 105 x 67 x 124 mm dimensions make it compatible with most standard bow stop brackets. Installation is straightforward: the stop has a central hole of 13 mm diameter for a bolt or shaft; simply secure it firmly onto the U-bracket or winch post stand. The V-shape profile (approximately 75° angle) is intended to fit the contour of a boat’s bow – as you winch your boat onto the trailer, this stop guides and centers the bow between its “wings.” This prevents the boat from drifting sideways and reduces rocking of the bow during retrieval and transport.
In addition to guarding the boat from smacking into the trailer’s metal parts, the rubber material is non-marking: the blue stop won’t leave streaks on the hull, unlike some black rubber rollers. The material is UV-resistant, meaning it won’t crack or fade quickly even under long-term sun exposure. It’s also impervious to saltwater – it won’t harden or deteriorate due to the marine environment.
Usage and recommendations:
- Keeps the boat’s bow secure during transit – the stop holds the bow against the winch post, preventing it from bouncing and reducing stress on tie-down straps while towing
- Eases boat loading – as the boat is winched in, the bow stop absorbs the impact and funnels the bow to the center, helping you align the boat properly even in current or wind
- Suitable for a wide range of boats: its size and profile accommodate most small and medium boats (fishing boats, runabouts, RIBs) – essentially boats with a V-shaped bow entry
- Compatibility: ensure the width (124 mm) fits your bracket; this model is a compact size (larger bow stops exist for very big boats) – for boats above ~6–7 m (20+ ft) you might require a wider stop
- Easy replacement: if your old bow stop is worn or cracked, this model is an excellent upgrade – swapping it in takes only minutes and greatly improves safety during boat loading
