This 8-position terminal block (barrier strip) is designed to simplify and organize the electrical wiring on your boat or in your RV. It allows you to conveniently join or branch up to 8 separate electrical lines – for instance, distributing power to lights, pumps, navigation instruments, and other devices. The carbon-plastic base provides extra strength and resilience: it won’t crack or warp under prolonged engine vibrations or pounding waves, and it’s resistant to the corrosive effects of salt air. This makes the block exceptionally well-suited for the marine environment.

Each of the 8 positions features dual screw terminals, enabling you to secure two wires (one on each side) – this way you can connect an incoming power feed on one side and an outgoing wire to a device on the other side at the same point. The maximum current for each position is about 60 amps, which covers the requirements of most DC onboard systems (12V or 24V). The terminal metal components are made of corrosion-resistant material (typically tin-plated copper or brass), ensuring a reliable long-term connection.

Applications:

  • Cable organization: Ideal for centralizing ground connections or positive feed splits. You can gather all negatives (–) from various devices onto one common block, or distribute positives (+) from a main breaker to individual circuits. This makes your electrical panel more organized and maintenance much easier.
  • Marine and automotive use: In addition to boats and yachts, this terminal block can be used in campers, RVs, solar setups, and off-road vehicles – anywhere multiple wires need to be connected in a tight space. Its compact dimensions and four mounting holes allow secure attachment to wood, plastic, or metal surfaces.
  • Easy installation & safety: Mount the block in a dry location protected from direct splashes (for example, inside an electrical panel or under the dash). Insert the stripped end of each wire into its corresponding terminal and tighten the screw firmly with a screwdriver – this ensures a reliable electrical contact. It’s recommended to use crimped ferrules or tinned wire ends for even more secure connections. After wiring, check that no wires are loose; if necessary, re-tighten the screws periodically since vibrations might loosen them slightly over time.
