The BARK B-210CN adds a new level of functionality to the one-person boat by integrating a factory-fitted transom board into the design. With the B-210CN, you get everything from the B-210C – the stable slatted floor, sliding seat, compact size – plus the ability to attach a motor and cruise under power. Remarkably, adding the transom only increases the weight by roughly 1 kg, so the boat remains extremely light and mobile (around 13 kg).
With a transom board at the stern, you can mount a small gasoline or electric outboard engine (up to ~2.5 HP). This means you’re no longer limited to paddle power – the B-210CN lets you cover greater distances, move against the current, or simply get back to shore quickly if the weather turns, all without exhausting yourself from rowing. When using a motor, the boat retains its stability: the construction is reinforced to handle the thrust, and the tubes (32–33 cm diameter) provide ample buoyancy for a motor-driven dinghy. You can always switch back to rowing whenever you want peace and quiet – having the transom board doesn’t impede your paddling or oar operation in any way.
For the solo fisherman, the B-210CN is particularly enticing. It makes practices like trolling very convenient – you can putter along lake shorelines with a small engine, dragging lures behind the boat, and when you find a promising spot, shut off the motor and switch to oars so you don’t spook the fish. The boat remains comfortable for hours on the water: the sliding seat allows you to change posture and avoid stiffness, and the stable floor even makes it possible to stand up if you need to stretch or make a long cast.
Recommended Uses:
- Motorized Solo Fishing: Perfect if you like to change locations frequently while fishing. Use the motor to relocate quickly on a lake or river, then switch to rowing for subtle maneuvering when you’re actually fishing. It’s the best of both worlds for a mobile angler.
- Long Excursions & Tours: The B-210CN enables you to explore larger bodies of water on your own. For instance, you can undertake an extended circuit around a reservoir – use the engine to cover ground on the way out, then drift or paddle quietly back while enjoying the scenery.
- Hunting & Patrol: A one-man boat with a motor can also be valuable for patrolling water areas or hunting in hard-to-reach spots. You can swiftly reach a point of interest with the engine, then quietly approach on oars (for example, when scouting wildlife or setting up decoys for duck hunting).
- Emergency Response: Thanks to its compactness and motor, this boat can be deployed by a single responder to reach tight or remote areas via water (e.g., navigating narrow floodwaters during rescue operations). Its light weight allows quick launch by one person and immediate use in urgent situations.
- Leisure Paddling with Backup: Even for casual outings, the B-210CN provides peace of mind – you know that if you get tired of rowing or face a strong headwind, a small engine can assist in bringing you back to safety. This makes it great for recreational users who want exercise and exploration, but also a safety net when needed.
