BARK B-220C – One-Person Inflatable Boat with Slatted Floor & Maximum Capacity

The BARK B-220C is a premium one-person boat engineered for maximum stability and load capacity. It builds upon the B-220 model by adding a two-piece wooden floor (slats) to the package, which significantly increases the rigidity of the bottom. The result is that the boat feels much more solid in the water – you can stand up without the boat flexing, which is especially useful when casting a fishing line or scanning the water’s surface for fish activity. With the B-220C, you have a one-person boat that rivals some two-seaters in terms of payload: up to roughly 197 kg. This means you can comfortably bring all the gear you want (extra rods, a large tackle box, bait buckets, etc.) without worrying about overloading the vessel.

Despite its impressive specs, the B-220C remains relatively easy to carry and stow. The total weight of the boat with the floor installed is around 15–16 kg, which is still within a range that a single person can manage. The boat folds up and fits into the standard carry bag, with the slatted floorboards stacking neatly inside. Assembly only takes a few minutes more – you need to lay the two wooden panels in the bottom as you inflate the boat, but this process is straightforward and outlined in the manual.

The B-220C’s construction is built to last. The hull is made from 5-ply PVC material rated at 1100 g/m² – one of the toughest coverings used in inflatables. This gives confidence when brushing against rough surfaces or under prolonged sun and water exposure. All seams are reinforced and reliably airtight. The boat has two air chambers splitting the internal volume – this safety design, combined with the high freeboard (tube diameter ~30 cm), makes the boat practically unsinkable under normal conditions.

In addition to the sturdy bench seat (which you can use as is or even outfit with a cushion or storage seat bag), you get all standard accessories – aluminum oars, pump, repair kit, and a handy carry bag. If you ever decide to upgrade further, this boat is compatible with a transom bracket mount (sold separately), which would allow you to attach a small outboard motor up to 2.5 HP. This means the B-220C can transform into a motorized craft while retaining its advantages of stability and high capacity.
