BARK B-230C – Two-Person Inflatable Boat with Slatted Floor (Stable Fishing for Two)

The BARK B-230C is designed to comfortably accommodate two people, providing them with a secure and stable platform for rowing or fishing. At 2.30 m long and 1.24 m wide (external dimensions), the boat has an interior space of roughly 196×90 cm – plenty of room for two occupants to avoid bumping into each other while moving or handling fishing rods. It is the most compact two-person model from BARK that comes with a slatted floor, yet it offers impressive stability for its size.

The wooden floor (slats) consists of three parts that cover the bottom of the boat. When the boat is inflated and the floor is in place, two passengers can comfortably walk on the boat or stand up at the same time. This is a big plus if both are fishing – for example, one person can stand at the bow to cast while the other manages the boat or tackles at the stern, without the boat losing balance.

The B-230C is fitted with two fixed wooden seats (benches). Their placement is such that when two people are seated, the weight is distributed evenly along the length of the boat. This way, when rowing, the boat stays trim and doesn’t ride up at the bow or bury the nose. The benches are spaced far enough apart that both people have legroom and a spot for their belongings (tackle boxes can be placed in front of or behind each seat).

A 210 kg load capacity allows for various combinations of two people and cargo. It can be two average-sized adults plus gear, or an adult with a child and a lot of luggage – in all cases, the boat can handle it. At the same time, the boat itself weighs only ~15 kg (without accessories), which is extremely light for a two-seater. This means one person can carry it alone if needed, and when two people help, transporting it is a breeze.

As with other models, the B-230C is constructed from reliable materials. The tubes have an increased diameter (~35 cm as per manufacturer specs), which boosts stability and buoyancy. The PVC material (around 850 g/m² thickness for the sides and 1100 g/m² for the bottom) is resistant to mechanical wear and weather elements. The boat is designed for use in fresh and saltwater without being damaged by salt or UV rays under prolonged exposure. Two chambers in the tubes ensure peace of mind that a puncture in one won’t sink the boat. Ropes along both sides provide something to grab onto if needed, and sturdy handles at the bow and stern aid in carrying and pulling the boat out of the water.

Although the B-230C is fundamentally a rowing boat, the manufacturer has anticipated the possibility of adding a motor mount (not included with this model, sold separately). This means that if you wish, you can turn the boat into a motorized vessel by attaching a small outboard up to 2.5 HP on the stern. The boat can handle such a motor without issues, as its design and balance with two people aboard can accommodate the extra weight and thrust.
