With its 333cc 2-cylinder EFI engine, the F15 has the same displacement as the F20 but detuned for 15HP output. This gives it a robust torque curve at low and mid RPM, which is perfect for quickly getting a loaded boat on plane or providing steady thrust against wind and current. The EFI ensures that starting is quick and easy – just turn the key (or pull, for manual start models) and the engine fires up without fuss, no choking required. Acceleration is smooth and linear, meaning even as you throttle up from idle, the F15 responds confidently without stumbles.

The design of the Mercury F15 is compact and well-balanced, which isolates vibration and keeps the operation quiet. Mercury has implemented features like a tightly cowled engine, special motor mounts, and efficient intake and exhaust tuning to reduce noise levels.
