With increased performance at lower rpm, the 60HP SeaPro helps a loaded boat get on plane easily and stay there without over-stressing the engine. It features a four-cylinder powerhead of ~1.0 liter displacement, providing serious torque reserve and a longer engine life (as it works less hard for each unit of power output). The SeaPro 60 includes several engine improvements aimed at greater reliability – such as a commercial grade fuel pump, a flywheel magnet retainer, more durable upper motor mounts, and a stainless steel thermostat to withstand saltwater conditions. Mercury’s Command Thrust gearcase comes standard, creating a bigger footprint in the water and providing more leverage to control the boat. Its larger gearcase housing, combined with a bigger-diameter prop, can lift a heavy boat onto plane more easily and hold it there at lower speeds without impacting top speed. The 60 SeaPro also features an 18A / 226W alternator to keep batteries charged and onboard power systems running strong, even with frequent use of electronics. All SeaPro models come with an extended commercial warranty and are backed by Mercury’s service network.
