The plug’s housing is made of a special reinforced thermoplastic (e.g., Valox) with glass fiber reinforcement, providing exceptional durability and resistance to impact, UV exposure, and extreme temperatures. For a complete shore power system, you need both a boat inlet installed on your vessel and this cord-end plug attached to your shore power cable.
• Ideal for: Large motor yachts, catamarans, and other vessels equipped with high-demand systems – e.g. multiple air conditioners, electric stoves/ovens, high-capacity battery chargers, laundry machines, etc. A 50A 125/250V system can power numerous devices simultaneously without voltage drop.
• Safe Operation: Always connect the plug to your boat’s inlet first, then plug the cord into the dock pedestal. Conversely, when disconnecting, unplug from the dock source first, then from the boat. Following this practice avoids breaking a heavy load under power and protects onboard electronics from surges.
