T70407 Raymarine EV-150 Power Autopilot

The Raymarine EV-150 Power Pilot is tailored for smaller and mid-sized powerboats with hydraulic steering systems. It’s ideal for boats with a single outboard or inboard engine – such as fishing boats, RIBs, and sport cruisers in the roughly 6–9 m range. The EV-150 takes charge of the helm, keeping your boat on a steady course and relieving the captain from fatigue during long runs or straight-line cruising.

The EV-150 Power pack includes the intelligent 9-axis EV-1 heading sensor, the compact ACU-150 actuator control unit, and the p70Rs autopilot controller with rotary knob. The ACU-150 is designed to drive a Type 1 hydraulic pump (12 V) – the same pump used in the larger EV-200 system – but the ACU-150 is optimized for a maximum continuous output of 7 A, appropriate for smaller steering loads. This pump can drive hydraulic cylinders roughly from 80 cc up to 230 cc in volume, covering the steering gear of many popular boats in this class. (SKU T70407 is supplied without a hydraulic pump, allowing you to pair it with a suitable Raymarine Type 1 pump for your boat’s setup. Like all Evolution autopilots, the EV-150 features quick installation and minimal calibration – once installed, the system essentially auto-tunes itself to your vessel with no complicated procedures. The EV-1 sensor continuously measures your boat’s heading and motion, while the ACU-150 drives the hydraulic pump with high precision. Raymarine’s exclusive Hydro-Balance™ technology compensates for any flexibility in the hydraulic system and prevents rudder oscillation, eliminating “hunting” and keeping the course rock-steady. The result is smooth course holding that saves fuel and improves comfort during your journey.

The EV-150 Power fills the gap between Raymarine’s smallest autopilots and the more powerful systems. It’s a great choice for boats that are too large for the entry-level EV-100 Power (meant for very compact vessels) but do not require the full capability of the EV-200. If your boat has greater displacement or a twin-engine steering setup, you may be better served by the EV-200 Power Pilot, which offers higher drive capacity. The EV-150 delivers the reliability and advanced features of the Evolution series in a more affordable package, giving you confidence and precision when piloting a smaller craft.
