In addition, the kit provides the p70s control head, the EV-1 sensor core, the ACU-100 control unit, and all necessary cabling. The EV-100 Wheel Pilot delivers precise course holding in all conditions, thanks to Evolution AI technology that self-learns and adapts to your vessel’s behavior. No compass calibration is needed – the pilot auto-adjusts itself during initial use. The EV-1 sensor monitors all aspects of the boat’s motion (heading, roll, pitch) and adjusts the steering commands to maintain a stable heading. When linked to a wind instrument, the system can sail in Wind Vane mode, and with a GPS/chartplotter connected it can follow routes in Track mode. An AutoTack feature simplifies tacking with one button press, and AutoSeastate tunes the pilot’s response to seas to conserve power. All these functions are controlled intuitively from the p70s head, which has a bright display and convenient controls.

The EV-100 Wheel fully integrates into the boat’s network via SeaTalkng/NMEA2000, allowing you to monitor and control the autopilot even from Raymarine multifunction displays (like Axiom) for added convenience. Compared to older ST4000-type wheel pilots, this system offers significantly higher precision and adaptability.
