Type 2 12V Hydraulic Pump

The Raymarine Type 2 12V hydraulic pump is engineered for steering larger vessels that use a 12-volt electrical system. This powerful pump is suited for hydraulic steering rams roughly 230 – 350 cc in volume, typical of big motorboats, catamarans, and yachts.

The Type 2 delivers a significantly higher flow rate – about 2000 cc/min – which enables rapid movement of even heavy rudders. This is critical for maintaining effective course control on larger boats, especially during maneuvers or in rough sea conditions. The pump’s maximum pressure reaches around 100 bar (1450 psi), more than enough to drive large hydraulic systems without any loss of power.

The Type 2 (12V) is controlled by the Raymarine ACU-400 – the high-capacity control unit designed for autopilots on the largest leisure vessels. Its compatibility with the Evolution series ensures easy and reliable integration.
