The Raymarine i60 Wind instrument provides skippers with precise and easy-to-interpret wind data – crucial for handling any sailing yacht. The large analog dial clearly indicates the relative wind direction with respect to the boat’s heading, with specially colored segments highlighting the close-hauled sectors for upwind sailing. At the same time, the digital display gives an exact value for wind speed in knots and can show additional information such as peak wind gust, velocity made good (VMG) to wind, and more. When integrated with the boat’s system, the i60 Wind can also calculate and display true wind (accounting for the vessel’s motion). This instrument is extremely useful for proper sail trim and tactical decision-making – whether cruising or racing. Its rugged, waterproof build and high-visibility readouts make the i60 Wind well-suited for exposed cockpits. Through the SeaTalkng/NMEA2000 network, wind data from the i60 can be shared with the autopilot, enabling “wind vane” steering mode – an invaluable feature for single-handed sailing or long passages.
