Included in this pack is the Raymarine P7 transducer – a plastic through-hull depth sensor designed for permanent installation in the boat’s hull. The low-profile design of the P7 means it sits nearly flush with the hull, reducing turbulence around the sensor and improving accuracy even when the boat is moving at speed. The P7 operates on a standard 200 kHz frequency and is optimized for small to medium vessels with fiberglass or metal hulls. The transducer’s cable plugs directly into the back of the i40 display, delivering analog depth data to the instrument. The package includes a cutting template, gasket, mounting bracket and hardware, and instructions to help you achieve a quick and watertight installation. Once the appropriately sized hole is cut, the instrument is secured using the included clamp bracket and thumb nuts, compressing the seal for a waterproof fit. For additional flexibility, Raymarine offers an optional bracket mount kit (not included in this pack) which allows you to mount the display externally on a bracket if flush mounting is not practical.
