Raymarine A80540 Wireless Hub is the required component for building a wireless RayMic handset station (or multiple stations) on a compatible Raymarine VHF system.
How it fits into the system:
• The hub connects to the base radio and carries both data and audio to/from wireless handsets
• Wireless handset A80544 pairs to the hub; each handset can also pair to a wireless active speaker A80543
Compatibility and key notes:
• Ray90/Ray91: hub supports up to 3 wireless handsets
• Ray63/Ray73: hub supports up to 2 wireless handsets, and requires adaptor cable R70739
Practical recommendations:
• Change the default hub password to improve security and prevent unintended connections
• In congested 2.4 GHz environments (for example, marinas), selecting a less-used channel can improve reliability
