AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam) extinguishers are particularly effective against Class A fires (solid combustibles like wood, paper, upholstery) and Class B fires (flammable liquids like fuel, oil, grease) – common fire hazards in engine compartments, galleys, and storage areas on a boat. We offer two convenient sizes:

• Small 0.75 L Foam Extinguisher – A compact canister ideal for personal watercraft, small boats, or as an additional extinguisher in larger vessels. Despite its smaller size, it dispenses foam rapidly to smother flames and cool hot surfaces. Its lightweight design (metal cylinder with plastic valve, about 32 cm tall by 8 cm diameter) makes it easy to grab and operate even in confined spaces.
• Standard 1.0 L Foam Extinguisher – A slightly larger unit providing extended discharge time and foam volume. This 1-liter extinguisher offers extra firefighting capacity while remaining portable and easy to handle. It features a durable metal body, a user-friendly plastic nozzle/valve, and clear labeling with instructions.

Both extinguishers are Type Approved (CE certified to EN3), meaning they meet European safety and performance standards for fire extinguishers – a reassurance of quality and reliability. They are pressure-tested and come charged with a ready-to-use AFFF foam solution. The foam works by forming a film over flammable liquid surfaces, cutting off oxygen and preventing re-ignition, while also penetrating porous materials to extinguish embers. Using these extinguishers is straightforward: pull the safety pin, aim at the base of the fire, and press the lever/button to discharge the foam. Each unit has a 5-year shelf life (under normal conditions) and requires no special maintenance beyond periodic pressure checks; they do not include a pressure gauge, which simplifies their design and reduces potential points of failure (the absence of a gauge on these small units is normal – simply check the manufacturing date and replace or service at recommended intervals). The cylinders are corrosion-resistant, suitable for the humid and salty air on board. Mounting brackets or straps (not included) can be used to secure them in an accessible location on your vessel or vehicle.
