Mini Recessed Cabin LED Light 57×57 mm (3 LEDs, 12V) – White Courtesy Lamp

This mini LED cabin light (code 04473) is perfect as auxiliary illumination in boat cabins, RVs, or even at home. With its modest size (57×57 mm square outer trim), it can be installed almost anywhere additional light is needed: inside closets, under overhead cabinets, in floor compartments, on walls as a night light, etc. The lamp is recessed-mounted – it requires only a small cut-out (~44.5 mm diameter or equivalent square) and a shallow depth of 14 mm, meaning even a thin partition can accommodate it.

Equipped with 3 LEDs, this little fixture emits an aesthetic white light (near-neutral or slightly warm white) with roughly 20–30 lumens of brightness – enough to illuminate a small area or act as a courtesy light. It’s not meant to be a primary light source, but rather a subtle “courtesy” lamp that adds coziness and helps you see in the dark without being overpowering. The power draw is just 0.85 W, so you can install several around the cabin without worrying about battery drain.

The frame is made of white ABS plastic – resistant to yellowing and impact – and secures with four tiny screws (included). Once installed, the screw heads remain visible but sit in countersunk holes and blend into the white surface. The lens is frosted, which helps spread the glow from the three LEDs evenly. A short pigtail (~15 cm) comes off the back for connection to a 12V power source; you can extend it with additional wire if needed for your layout.

This light is intended for interior use (it’s not fully waterproof like dedicated exterior lights, though it can handle high humidity). It can be used in enclosed deck areas that are protected from direct water exposure. For instance, many owners install it inside cabinets or lockers – when you open the compartment, you have light making it easier to find items. Also, mounted under a step or seat, it will illuminate the floor and prevent trips at night.

Example Applications:

• Closet/Cabinet Light: Install the lamp at the top of a wardrobe or cabinet in a cabin. When you open it, it will light up the interior, making it easier to find your belongings. (You could pair it with a door switch for automatic activation.)
• Under Steps or Thresholds: Mount the lights low, under the lip of steps or thresholds in the companionway – even with the main lights off, these little lamps will outline the pathway and improve nighttime safety.
• Galley Counter Lighting: In an RV or yacht galley, place the lamp under an overhead cabinet. It will cast a soft light on the counter for a midnight snack or quick check without needing to turn on the bright main lights.
• Display Nook: If you have small alcoves or display shelves in the interior (for example, a niche with souvenirs), a mini LED lamp installed above can gently highlight those features.
• Automotive/Truck Interior: This lamp can even be used beyond marine settings – for example, as an extra light in a car trunk or in a truck cabin, where the factory lighting doesn’t reach. It’s small and runs on 12V, making it versatile for vehicular use as well.
