This replacement drain plug is designed to save the day when you need it most – for example, if your boat’s original drain plug gets lost during draining or becomes damaged. With a Ø23 mm thread diameter, it’s compatible with most standard drain bases, including the round plastic base from our product 00922. This means you can simply screw it in place of the old plug and continue using your boat without interruption.

It’s made of the same high-quality white nylon as typical original plugs, ensuring equal strength and durability. The plug’s O-ring (located near the head) is a soft yet sturdy rubber that compresses as you tighten the plug, completely sealing the joint between the male plug and female base. This prevents any water from seeping through the drain hole.

Usage: Keep this spare plug in an easily accessible spot on your boat – for instance, in your emergency kit or clipped near the drain opening itself. In case the main plug is lost (which can happen if it wasn’t screwed tightly or if a strong water flow pulls it out during draining), immediately insert the spare. Simply check that the gasket is clean, and hand-screw the spare plug in all the way. No tools or special skills are required.

Because the plug is white, it’s easy to spot both during the day and at night with a flashlight, which is a plus in urgent situations. Some owners even keep two spares on hand for extra security. This little part is a small investment that can prevent big problems – losing a drain plug while the boat is in the water could lead to bilge flooding. With this spare plug, you always have a “plan B” and can enjoy your boating outings with peace of mind.
