This stainless steel screw cover is a cleverly designed solution for installing covers where you want the screws to be hidden and the fabric fully protected. The set consists of a flat cap and a wide base washer. The washer has a central hole for a screw; during installation, you place the washer over the canvas (on the outside of the fabric), insert the screw through it, and drive the screw into the solid backing (e.g., boat hull or frame). The washer (about 44 mm in diameter) acts as a large backing plate – it spreads the force of the screw over a broad area of the fabric, preventing the material from tearing or pulling out under the screw head. Once the screw is tightened, the top cap (42 mm diameter) is placed over it, covering the screw head. Depending on the model, the cap either snaps on or threads onto the washer, locking firmly in place.

The result is an extremely clean installation – all you see is a smooth stainless disc, with no visible screw slots or protruding hardware. This not only improves the appearance but also eliminates the risk of injury or snagging gear/clothing on exposed screws.
