This reinforced bi-conical buoy is engineered for professional applications – as a mooring buoy for large boats/yachts or as a reliable navigation marker. Its construction combines a rugged polyethylene outer shell (manufactured via blow-molding) with an interior filled with closed-cell polyurethane foam. This ensures the buoy remains unsinkable even in the event of significant damage to the shell. Running through the center of the buoy is a stainless steel axle, which protrudes at both ends, forming swiveling eyes. These eyes allow direct attachment of mooring chains, ropes, or other hardware, while preventing twisting as the buoy rotates around its axis. The orange color and 70 cm height above water make the buoy visible from great distances, which is critically important for maritime safety.
- Offshore Mooring Systems: This buoy is capable of supporting the weight of chains and lines required to moor vessels of 10+ meters. Its buoyancy (~18 kg) is sufficient to keep even massive chains afloat, preventing them from sinking and easing the crew’s task when picking up the mooring line.
- Navigational Marker: The bi-conical shape corresponds to certain navigation standards (in some buoyage systems it indicates specific navigational markers). With the ability to mount a flashing light on top, this buoy can serve as a permanent beacon for marking a channel, shoal, or hazard, visible even at night.
- Aquaculture and Offshore Sites: Ideal for delineating offshore installations (e.g., wind turbines, platforms) or large fish farms in open sea. The strong construction and swiveling eyelets can withstand constant tension from lines and chains, as well as impact from waves during storms.
- Security and Maintenance: All metal components are made of stainless steel, preventing corrosion even after years in the water. The buoy requires virtually no maintenance – periodic cleaning is sufficient. The design lacks external valves and doesn’t require inflation, eliminating common failure points and ensuring continuous operation.
