This 7.3-meter marine extension cable is designed for wired remote control systems on board – for example, a control panel for a marine stereo, autopilot remote, or any other device that uses a separate tethered controller. It enables you to mount the remote control in a convenient location (such as on the helm console or flybridge) even if the main unit – like the head stereo unit or amplifier – is located farther away in the cabin or electronics locker. The cable provides seamless signal transmission over its entire length thanks to high-quality construction and shielding against electrical noise.

The connectors on both ends are standard 6.3 mm male jack plugs – the same type used by the remote’s manufacturer, ensuring full compatibility. You simply plug one end into the port on the main device and the other end into the remote control’s cable (or directly into the remote panel if it has an integrated pigtail). There is no need for cutting, splicing, or additional adapters.

Marine-grade durability: As a product intended for boats, this extension cable is built with salt air and moisture in mind. The jack connectors feature nickel-plated contacts to resist corrosion, and the cable itself has insulation that withstands UV exposure and remains flexible even in cold temperatures (important for installations in exposed areas). You can route it through engine compartments, alongside other cables, and through conduits, and it stays pliable and easy to handle.

Versatility: Although initially intended for the EVAL WR6 model (manufacturer code 01134-1) – a wired remote for marine audio systems – this cable can also be used with other devices that utilize a 6.3 mm jack connection for remote control or audio signals. For example, some marine amplifiers or light controllers might use a similar cable to connect a remote panel.

Example use cases:

  • Mounting a stereo head unit’s remote control on the flybridge or in the cockpit while the actual stereo is installed inside the salon. The cable gives you the freedom to control your music from a secondary location.
  • Extending the cable of a remote searchlight/spotlight control – if your deck spotlight connects to its controller via a jack, this cable can help relocate the control to the helm for easy access.
  • Linking a helm station to a second control station – for instance, if you have a second steering position at the aft for docking, some control lines can be extended from the main helm to the secondary helm using this cable.
