This telescopic stainless steel support pole provides a strong and flexible support for boat canopies and bimini tops. Constructed entirely from AISI 316 stainless steel, it is built to withstand saltwater conditions and will retain its strength and appearance over years of use. The two-section tube (22 mm inner sliding into 25 mm outer) allows smooth adjustment of the pole’s length from 75 up to 120 cm, so you can set the perfect height or angle for your canopy. Once adjusted, the desired length is locked in place with a reliable mechanism (either a tension screw or locking pin) that prevents any collapse. By using these rigid telescopic arms instead of fabric straps, your canopy frame stays much steadier – the metal strut holds the frame firmly, eliminating swaying and canvas flapping when the boat is underway.

  • Use Cases: Ideal for medium-sized boats and cruisers (around 5–7 meters or above) that require a sturdy bimini support. Often used as rear support poles for bimini tops, holding the canopy up even when it’s folded back. They’re also useful as forward supports on larger sport boats or as adjustable struts for boat awnings and covers. If you regularly boat at higher speeds or in windy conditions, these poles will ensure the bimini remains taut and secure.
  • Advantages: The telescoping design lets you fine-tune your canopy’s position – raise it for more headroom or lower it for better wind protection. You can quickly adjust or collapse the bimini when needed: for example, lower it partway for low bridges or fully collapse it for trailering. Compared to aluminum support poles, this stainless version offers superior load-bearing capacity and durability; there’s no flex or wobble even at speed or in choppy waters. Its all-stainless build also means no corrosion or weakening over time, even if left installed throughout the season.
  • Installation: Typically used in pairs (one on each side of the canopy). The top end attaches to the bimini frame (usually via a pivot or jaw slide), and the bottom end fastens to a deck hinge or base on the boat (hardware not included or sold separately). This pole is compatible with standard bimini fittings designed for 22–25 mm tubes. Installation is straightforward – secure the ends with the provided screws/pins, then extend to the desired length and lock it. The support pole can telescope down to its minimum length when not in use, keeping it out of the way or allowing the canopy to be covered.
  • Recommendation: For larger biminis or heavy canvas, you can use two sets – e.g., two rear supports and two front supports – to create a four-point rigid frame. This is especially useful on sailboats or high-performance powerboats for maximum stability. When storing your boat or during the off-season, collapse the poles to minimize space and protect them from damage. Periodically rinse the stainless steel with fresh water to keep it shiny and salt-free; it will remain in top condition with minimal maintenance.
