Quicksilver Quickare is your trusted ally at every fill-up, ensuring you give your engine the best fuel quality possible from the pump. Today’s fuels often contain up to 10% ethanol (E10), which is hygroscopic – it attracts water from the air. This can lead to phase separation in the fuel (a water layer forming in the tank) and corrosion of metal parts. Quickare tackles this issue by emulsifying small amounts of water so they can be safely burned off through the engine instead of accumulating and causing trouble.
In addition, Quickare contains detergents that prevent the buildup of gum and varnish in fuel lines, carburetors/fuel injectors, and on intake valves. This means that even if you’re getting fuel of varying quality, your engine will stay clean and run at maximum efficiency. Quickare also protects the fuel from short-term oxidation (between boat outings), preserving the octane rating so your engine responds with full power every time.
Applications & Recommendations:
- Everyday protection: Use Quickare at every refueling, or at least regularly throughout the boating season. This way, every liter of fuel entering your tank is treated – moisture is managed and potential harmful compounds are neutralized before they can cause damage.
- Recommended dosage: 355 ml of Quickare treats up to 454 liters (120 gallons) of gasoline. That’s about 0.78 ml per liter. For practicality: roughly 15 ml (one tablespoon) for a 20 L jerry can, ~45 ml for a 60 L tank. The bottle has a convenient measuring scale. Stick to the recommended dose – adding more isn’t necessary since the formula is optimized for that concentration.
- For all gasoline engines: Quickare is suitable for outboard engines (Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, etc.), inboard gasoline engines, PWCs, automobiles, and any gas-powered equipment. It’s safe for 2-stroke engines (won’t affect the oil/fuel mix) as well as 4-stroke. It will not harm catalytic converters or other emission systems.
- Effects of regular use: You’ll notice smoother idling and quick acceleration as the fuel system stays clean. Carburetor needles won’t stick, injectors will spray optimally. Over time, Quickare can help avoid costly fuel system clean-outs and extend the life of components (e.g. fuel pump and injectors).
- Combine with other products: Quickare handles daily prevention, but it’s not an aggressive “scrubber” like Quickleen. For deep cleaning of existing deposits, use Quickleen periodically, and for long-term storage, use Quickstor. The best regimen: Quickare at every fill + Quickleen occasionally + Quickstor during off-season storage. This three-pronged approach ensures always-fresh fuel, a clean engine, and easy starts no matter the season.
