Quicksilver Quickleen – Fuel System Cleaner Additive (355 ml)

Code:
04103-08

Quicksilver Quickleen is a powerful gasoline additive that removes carbon, varnish, and other deposits from your engine’s fuel system. It keeps carburetors, injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers clean, resulting in smoother engine operation, better fuel economy, and extended spark plug life. Recommended for periodic use in all outboard motors, personal watercraft, and other gasoline machines to maintain peak performance.

  • Quickly breaks down and cleans carbon deposits from carburetors, injectors, valves, and pistons.
  • Restores power and acceleration – eliminates causes of rough idle, misfires, and hesitation.
  • Prevents engine knock and overheating by removing carbon hot-spots that can cause pre-ignition.
  • Prolongs spark plug and engine life – a clean fuel system reduces stress on components and improves combustion efficiency.

Quicksilver Quickleen is the “secret weapon” for keeping your gasoline engine in top shape. Over time and use, any engine accumulates carbon deposits on pistons, heads, valves, and throughout the fuel system. These deposits can lead to lost power, hard starting, rough idling, and even increased fuel consumption. Quickleen, developed by Mercury, is designed to quickly and safely dissolve these harmful deposits without requiring you to disassemble the engine.

After only a few treatments (or even a single “shock” treatment for heavily fouled systems), you’ll notice improvements: the engine will start more easily, run more smoothly, and reach full RPM without stuttering. Quickleen cleans injector orifices and carburetor jets, restoring proper fuel flow and the optimal air-fuel mixture. It also removes build-up from intake valves, which improves compression and cylinder filling efficiency.

Applications & Recommendations:

  • Periodic use: It’s recommended to add Quickleen to your fuel every 50-100 hours of operation or every few fill-ups as a preventative measure. For engines that see heavy use or run on lower-quality fuel, you might use it more frequently (e.g. every 3rd tank) to keep the system clean.
  • Use for issues: If you notice a drop in performance, difficult starting, uneven running, or increased fuel consumption, perform a shock treatment: add the prescribed amount of Quickleen to your fuel (a 355 ml bottle treats ~227 L of gas) and run that tank through before changing spark plugs. This intensive cleaning often restores lost power and smooth operation.
  • Suitable for: All 2-stroke and 4-stroke gasoline engines – outboards, inboards, PWCs (jet skis), motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, etc. It’s lead-free and safe for catalytic converters (if present) and O2 sensors. Quickleen is especially beneficial for engines that do a lot of low-speed running (trolling), where carbon tends to build up more.
  • Dosage: 1 bottle (355 ml) treats up to 227 liters (60 gallons) of fuel. That’s roughly 1.5 ml per liter or about 1 oz per 10 gallons. In practice: add ~30 ml for a 20 L portable tank, or ~90 ml for a 60 L built-in tank. Stick to these proportions – the product is highly concentrated and more is not necessary.
  • Combined use: Quickleen can be used in conjunction with other Quicksilver additives. For example, Quickare (every-fill fuel conditioner) can be used continuously to control moisture and fuel stability, while Quickleen is added periodically for deep cleaning. When winterizing, you might add Quickleen in your last tank along with Quickstor – Quickleen will clear out deposits before storage, and Quickstor will stabilize the fuel.
  • After treatment: After running fuel treated with Quickleen, it’s a good idea to inspect and/or replace your spark plugs, especially if the engine hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. It’s possible that loosened deposits could foul the plugs. Going forward, with regular use, your spark plugs will stay cleaner for longer.
