Quicksilver Quickstor – Fuel Stabilizer Gasoline Additive (355 ml)

Code:
04103-09

Quicksilver Quickstor is a high-performance fuel stabilizer designed to keep gasoline fresh during long-term storage of boats and engines. It prevents regular and ethanol-blended fuel from breaking down or oxidizing for up to 12 months, protecting the fuel system from corrosion, gum, and varnish deposits. Perfect for winterizing outboards, personal watercraft, generators, and other gasoline equipment.

  • Prevents degradation of both regular and ethanol-blend gasoline (E5, E10) during storage.
  • Stabilizes fuel for up to 1 year – ensures easy starts and smooth running even after long lay-ups.
  • Guards against rust and corrosion in the tank, fuel lines, carburetors, and injectors.
  • Stops gum and varnish formation – keeps fuel systems clean and free of clogs.

Quicksilver Quickstor is an essential product when preparing your boat or gasoline engine for prolonged storage, such as over the winter months. Modern fuels – especially those containing bio-ethanol – tend to break down, absorb moisture, and form varnish deposits after just a few weeks of inactivity. Quickstor counteracts this problem by chemically stabilizing the fuel and slowing all aging processes. The additive contains antioxidants that prevent the hydrocarbons from oxidizing (the main cause of gasoline “going bad”) and corrosion inhibitors that create a protective film on metal surfaces in contact with fuel.

Once treated with Quickstor, gasoline retains its quality, octane rating, and combustibility for many months. This means come spring, your engine will start up without a hitch, avoiding the typical issues associated with stale fuel – no stalling, pinging, or power loss from “old” gas. Additionally, Quickstor protects carburetors and injectors by preventing sticky gum and varnish from forming and clogging fine passages and jets. Combustion chambers and spark plugs remain cleaner as well, since stabilized fuel burns more completely.

Applications & Recommendations:

  • Boat & engine winterization: Add Quickstor to the gasoline tank before laying up your boat for winter or any time you expect the engine to sit idle for more than a month. One 355 ml bottle treats up to about 227 liters (60 gallons) of fuel. After adding, fill the tank to around 95% capacity to minimize air space (and condensation). Run the engine for ~5-10 minutes to ensure the stabilized fuel circulates throughout the entire fuel system.
  • Seasonal equipment storage: Suitable for outboard motors, inboard gasoline engines, personal watercraft (PWC), ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles, gas generators, lawn mowers, and more – any gasoline-powered equipment that will sit unused for an extended period. Quickstor keeps the fuel fresh and prevents problems when you bring the equipment back into service.
  • Compatibility: Works with all types of gasoline – regular, premium, and ethanol-blended (up to E10 or E15). It will not harm catalytic converters, O2 sensors, or fuel system gaskets. The additive does not impede normal combustion of fuel – you can operate the engine on stabilized gas if needed.
  • Directions for use: Recommended dosage is ~30 ml of Quickstor per 19 liters of gasoline (1 oz per 5 gallons). You can measure using the bottle’s built-in markings or a separate measuring cup. Do not significantly exceed the recommended amount – the product is highly concentrated. After adding, agitate or rock the tank to mix thoroughly.
  • Use with other additives: For comprehensive fuel system care, Mercury/Quicksilver suggests using Quickleen (a cleaning additive) during the active season and Quickare (a conditioner at every fill-up). However, for storage Quickstor is key – it can be used on its own or in combination with Quickleen in the last tank before lay-up to both clean existing deposits and stabilize the fuel simultaneously.
